£1.2m road improvement scheme announced for Pocklington
Major new road improvements for Pocklington town centre are due to begin in the new year. East Riding of Yorkshire Council will invest £1.2m in a package of work to resurface roads and paths in the town centre. The scheme will be carried out in Market Place/Market Square, Union Street, Railway Street and West Green and is scheduled to start in early January and continue over the next eight months. The resurfacing of Market Place/Market Square will follow the completion of a project to create a new pedestrianised area around the Jubilee monument in Market Place. The resurfacing work will be carried out in the following phases: Market Place/Square This phase is due to take place between Monday 6 January and Friday 25 April. The majority of resurfacing at this site will be carried out in the evening
