Others may use them occasionally and, for some, it may have been years since they stepped foot on a bus. But whether it is to get to and from work each day or for social use, at some point you are bound to need to get one. And no matter how often you use the bus, the chances are you’ve likely been left feeling incredibly annoyed on at least one Hull journey in your lifetime. Getting from east Hull to west Hull Have you encountered this problem before? Some of our readers certainly have. One said: “How it’s still such a pain to get from east Hull to west in one journey without having to change bus or sit for half an hour at the Interchange? It takes the same time walk it.” Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play Another person said: “Not enough cross city services, could do with a few more like the 57, connecting east and west without the need to change.” And one wrote: “If you’re going to town, you’re fine. You can catch any bus you want. If you’re going across the city, then your well and truly f*****.” Buses on a Sunday Do you struggle to get a bus to where you want to go on a Sunday? One person said they seem “non existent”. “No buses after 5.30pm and non existent on a Sunday,” they said. (Image: HullLive) Pushchairs This one came up a lot and people had plenty to say about it. One person said: “Pushchairs, they used to fold and leave room for others.” Another said: “Prams blocking reduced mobility seats.” And one wrote: “A wheelchair can’t get on as most bus drivers won’t ask for prams to be put down and some parents refuse.” While another didn’t hold back. “Young mums getting on with big prams, whatever happened to fold up pushchairs and buggies, they are sooooo lazy these days it’s beyond beggars belief,” they said. “And all the young people that sit at the front in seats meant for the disabled, just ignorant and lazy.” poll loading Are you happy with Hull’s bus services? 0 VOTES SO FAR When they don’t turn up on time or are late Most of us have experienced this at some point – when your bus is late or simply does not turn up. One person said: “When they don’t turn up at the correct time and still waiting two hours later and that’s often enough also.” Another said: “Always late then two come grrrrr.” While one wrote: “Never on time.” And one said: “They don’t turn up when they’re supposed to and make you late for work all the time – and when you eventually get off at your stop, the bus you waited 40 minutes for is directly in front of you.” Dirty windows This annoyed a couple of people who said they cannot see where they need to get off the bus.
