One of the main roads in and out of Bridlington has been closed due to what is being described as a 'police incident' late on Wednesday night. The closure of the A165 Scarborough Road was announced by Humberside Police shortly before 10.30pm. The public is being asked to avoid the area near Grindale Lane. In a tweet, the Force said: “Please be aware that the A165 Scarborough Road near to Grindale Lane is currently closed due to a police incident. Please avoid the area if possible.” At 10.43pm, roads and traffic monitoring service Inrix reported: “A165 Scarborough Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to police incident near Grindale Lane.” No further details have been released at this time.
