There are long queues on the A63 after an accident has blocked both carriageways which are currently closed. The accident happened close to the A1166 Brighton Street at St Andrews Quay and a number of emergency vehicles are believed to be at the scene. Witnesses have reported being stuck in traffic with police and ambulances passing by. An update posted at just after 10.15pm said: “A63 Clive Sullivan Way in both directions blocked due to accident near A1166 Brighton Street (St Andrews Quay).” One woman said she had heard frm family members who had been stuck in the “gridlocked” traffic for over an hour.
