A63 closures at evening and night time for two weeks…

The A63 roadworks are continuing in January, with two weeks of nightly road closures. National Highways will carry out the work from Thursday, January 5, until Wednesday, January 18. It will mainly affect early morning commuters and people travelling in the evening, with the road shut in the westbound direction between 8pm and 6am. Outside of these hours, the A63 will be open to traffic in both directions. The first road improvement stage began on December 12 after an earlier date in November had to be pushed back due to poor weather. The westbound A63 carriageway and entry slip will close from Priory Way through to Western Interchange. The resurfacing works will make driving on the A63 feel “a lot smoother” when it’s finished, a National Highways manager said.
