A63 delays after two-car crash near South Cave

A crash involving two cars led to one lane of the A63 eastbound being closed. The incident is believed to have occurred around 9am on Thursday, December 15 between South Cave and Welton, which is a notorious area for road traffic collisions. Conditions this morning were also icy, with a yellow Met Office ice warning in place for Hull and East Yorkshire. Commuters reported heavy traffic in the area as the inside lane of the A63 eastbound closed. A post in the Hull Live traffic and travel group suggests that tailbacks were around five miles long, while recovery vehicles worked at the scene.
