Drivers are being warned to expect further delays around Hull on Saturday due to an ongoing emergency closure that led to traffic chaos on Friday. The A63 westbound is expected to remain closed at the junction of the A1166 at Brighton Street near St Andrew's Quay while work is carried out on the bridge over the roundabout. National Highways says it “continues to assess and repair the damaged joint” on the bridge and “a temporary repair is due to take place on the joint” on Saturday morning. The road is expected to reopen “around mid-afternoon”. National Highways says a permanent repair will be arranged in due course and further updates for that will be shared as they are confirmed.
