A63 queues after three-vehicle crash near Smith and Nephew

One lane is blocked on the A63 heading into Hull after a three-vehicle “shunt”. The accident happened at around 3.15pm on A63 Clive Sullivan Way near Smith and Nephew and involves three vehicles. One lane is currently blocked and a police car is in attendance. Traffic management system Inrix says: “One lane blocked and queuing traffic due to accident, three vehicles involved on A63 Clive Sullivan Way eastbound from A1166 Brighton Street (St Andrews Quay) to Madeley Street.” One witness at the scene says that there are tailbacks heading into the city due to the accident. He said: “It’s a shunt I think. Slowly clearing. There is one police car and there are tailbacks. Looks like a van was involved.” Traffic has queued up towards the roundabout for St Andrew’s Quay.
