A lorry overturned and crashed into a brick wall on the A63 Roger Millward Way on Sunday morning causing the westbound carriage way to be shut. At 8.45am on May 29, a lorry fell on its side between Hedon Road and Market Place, causing a brick wall along the side of the carriageway to collapse. Fuel was also spilled out of the vehicle, causing the road to be shut. Traffic was congested to Mount Pleasant and Freetown Way as traffic had to be redirected. Emergency services were in attendance as Humberside Police advised motorists to avoid the area where possible and expected the road to be closed until at least early afternoon that day.
