They are frustrating for motorists, but necessary to keep our roads up to scratch and traffic flowing freely once the work is done. There are long term roadworks ongoing in and around the city, but there are also shorter term ones planned. Here is your definitive list of all the ongoing and upcoming roadworks in the area, as announced by Hull City Council. A63 – St James Street to Market Place: Major A63 improvement scheme – full infrastructure change. Lane and road closures until completion of scheme, May 1, 2025. Anlaby Park Road South: Road being resurfaced between Tilbury Road and number 174, road closure in place. Until November 15. Bankside: Surveys required in preparation to remove the old kiosk at the junction of Ferry Lane. Lane closure in place. November 13 to 15. Barnes Way: Utility asset works opposite Connaught Road. Multi-way signals in place. Until November 15. Beverley Road: Gas works near Tesco and DM Keith. lane closure in place. Until December 20. Bude Road: Carriageway reconstruction from Kingscott Close to Cookbury close. Road closure in place. Until November 13 Carr Lane: Road closure from Queens Dock Avenue to Chariot Street for the Christmas light switch on event. 4pm to 9pm only on November 21. Crowle Street: Due to works on Wyke Street. Multi-way signals in place.
