They are frustrating for motorists, but necessary to keep our roads up to scratch and traffic flowing freely once the work is done. There are long term roadworks ongoing in and around the city, but there are also shorter term ones planned. Here is your definitive list of all the ongoing and upcoming roadworks in the area, as announced by Hull City Council. A63 Castle Street: A series of overnight closures for the A63 Castle Street scheme until January 31. Anlaby Road: Carriageway survey works. Lane closure on Anlaby Road, between Eastfield Primary School and Hamlyn Avenue. December 2 to 4. Beverley Road: Gas works near Tesco and DM Keith. Lane closure in place. Until December 20. Also, no right turn onto Mizzen Road, November 25 to December 20. Crowle Street: Due to works on Wyke Street. Multi-way signals in place. Until November 29. Crowle Street: Gas works at the junction of Wyke Street to outside A Laver & Co. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 4. Dairycoates Avenue: Connection only due to works on Woodcock Street. Multi-way signals in place. December 2 to 13. Elm Terrace: Carriageway resurfacing. Road closure in place. Until December 6. Ferries Street: Gasworks near junction of Crowle Street and Hedon Road. Two-way signals in place. Until November 29. Fountain Road: Carriageway resurfacing from Wincolmlee to Main Street. Road closure in place. Until November 29. Guildhall Road: Public realm works, including paving, surfacing, drainage, retaining walls and ducting within Queens Gardens and along Guildhall Road, Wilberforce Drive and Queens Dock Avenue. Lane closure on Guildhall Road. Until October 31, 2025. Hall Road: Utility asset works at the junction of Hall Road. Two-way signals in place. November 25.
