‘Back to the floor’ for councillor as he joins civil…

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transportation, roads, and highways, rolled up his sleeves to join Hull City Council's civil enforcement officers on the ground. The immersive experience took place on Friday 5 July, providing Cllr Ieronimo with a first-hand look at the day-to-day operations, challenges, and successes of the officers. While on patrol, he observed the officers as they dealt with a range of issues, from straightforward parking infringements to more heated disputes and disruptive behaviour. He noted how the officers used their discretion to enforce the law while showing understanding and taking into account the unique circumstances of each case.
