Police have closed Beverley Road in both directions after a serious crash between a motorbike and a pedestrian. The accident happened just after 8pm on Thursday (October 17), close to Tesco Express and Beverley Road Baths. Police say the road is likely to be closed for most of the night. It comes as drivers heading into Hull also faced disruption after a serious crash closed the eastbound carriageway of the A63 near Brough. You can read more about that here. Buses and other traffic are being diverted around the scene. A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: “Beverley Road is likely to be closed all evening following a collision between a motorbike and a pedestrian. The closure is in place from Queens Road. “Drivers are advised to avoid the area and anyone with information on the incident should contact police on 101 quoting log number 536 of October 17, 2019.” Police tweeted about the accident at 8pm saying traffic was moving slowly, before the road was shut in both directions.
