Beverley Road works to kickstart six months of traffic chaos in Hull

Extensive restoration work due to be carried out in Beverley Road is due to kickstart six months of traffic chaos on one of Hull's busiest roads from Monday. A large scale restoration carried out on Brunswick Arcade starting next week will cause the area between Norfolk Street and Trafalgar Street on Beverley Road to be reduced to two lanes. Hull City Council has said the work will start on Monday, October 11 and is expected to finish in Spring next year. A section of the arcade behind scaffolding has been vacant for over ten years and has become a target for arson and antisocial behaviour. They advise people to avoid the area during peak times when possible or to expect delays as vehicles will share the narrowed carriageway.
