Bomb squad attend ‘suspicious package’ in Hull
The bomb squad is due to attend an incident at a Hull shopping centre tonight (Tuesday). Road closures are in place while police and fire service personnel attend the scene at St Stephen's Shopping Centre on Ferensway where they say they have found a 'suspicious package'. Humberside Police posted on social media asking people to avoid the area shortly before 7pm. Evacuations have taken place and there are road closures in place on Ferensway, Anlaby Road and Spencer Street. Humberside Police said: “Officers have issued a 200-metre safety cordon around St Stephens Shopping Centre on Ferensway in Hull following the discovery of a suspicious package at around 6.20pm today (Tuesday 18 February).
