Bransholme residents offered apology over ‘eyesore’ works site

Hull City Council has apologised for delays in dealing with an disused works site in Bransholme, which has been branded an “eyesore” by people living nearby. The large compound off Dorchester Road is understood to have been used by a construction firm carrying out works in the area over the past two years. It was built on a green space opposite the junction with Kimmeridge Close and used to store materials and vehicles. The contractors have since moved on, but the land has yet to be returned to its original state. Hard-standing remains, along with a metal fence surrounding the site, with signs telling people to keep out of a “construction site”.
