A major road through an East Yorkshire village has been completely shut after a “serious” crash. Brough Road, which takes drivers between the A63’s South Cave junction and South Cave village, has been sealed off after what is reportedly a single-vehicle accident. Fire crews from two separate stations are also at the scene close to the village centre. It is believed the accident happened at just before 3pm but it is unclear how long the road will be shut for.  An update provided by traffic management system Inrix said: “A1034 Brough Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident from Stonepit Road to A63.” We have a reporter on his way to the scene and will bring you all the latest in the live blog below.
