Chanterlands Avenue to be narrowed as council conducts investigation

Chanterlands Avenue will be narrowed whilst Hull City Council conducts an investigation on an underground structure. The investigation seeks to verify the presence of an out of use underground culvert located under the footpath, opposite the entrance to Rainhill Road. Culverts are structures that allow water to run under a road, railway, essentially acting as a mini bridge. Once it's presence is verified work to assess the condition of the culvert will commence. To ensure these works are carried out safely and with minimal disruption to traffic, the road will be narrowed for drivers and cyclists from 9.30am today (March 18) to 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 26. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the works.
