A teenager has been seriously injured after being struck by a van this morning. Emergency services were called to Staveley Road, off Marfleet Lane, to reports of a crash between a van and a pedestrian at 8.30am. A 15-year-old was then taken to hospital with injuries said to be severe. Witnesses saw police bikes and an ambulance at the scene. An appeal has been launched for more information on what happened.
