Christmas Eve crash at Spring Bank West junction as motorists…
Motorists have called for a rethink after a Christmas Eve crash at a busy west Hull junction they fear should not have had changes made to it. Two cars were in collision at the junction of Spring Bank Werst and Chanterlands Avenue at around 12.30pm on Saturday, December 24. One motorist reported that traffic was being diverted. It comes after Hull City Council answered concerns the junction would become an ‘accident blackspot’ by insisting the changes would benefit road users and pedestrians. But following today’s crash, motorists once again said that changes should not have been carried out. One said: “The light system shouldn’t have been changed and people don’t notice the new sign. The blinding sun doesn’t help either, but thankfully everybody looks okay.
