Completion of A63 Castle Street project delayed by a year
The A63 Castle Street project will now be completed a full year after the initial end date target. National Highways have confirmed they are now working towards a completion date in Spring 2026, after previously hoping to finish the scheme in Spring 2025. Work on the £355m project began more than four years ago to create a new junction by lowering the level of the A63 with Ferensway and Commercial Road passing overhead. Meanwhile, the eastbound carriageway is being widened to three lanes between Princes Dock Street and Market Place.
