Residents in Cottingham are becoming increasingly frustrated with the ongoing roadworks in the village, as more began on Eppleworth Road this week. The new roadworks, which stretch from Eppleworth Road's junction with Green Lane to Raywell, are part of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's £3m surface dressing programme which is designed to improve road quality, prevent potholes, and improve skid resistance. However, some residents are claiming that they were not given adequate notice, voicing concerns over the increasing number of concurrent projects throughout Cottingham. On top of the Eppleworth Road closure, other ongoing projects in the village include those on Westfield Road, Harland Way and Northgate, as well as Castle Road.
