Hull City Council revealed it is closing 10 roads across the city while the work is carried out. The council said it would be laying a “special surface treatment” to the roads, beginning on Monday, October 21. Over 15,000sq m of road is set to be resurfaced as part of the work to combat the city’s pothole problems. The work requires road closures to be in force on certain dates. The council said advance warning signs would be in place, with residents in the affected areas informed through letter drops. Councillor Anita Harrison said: “The vast majority of these works are taking place outside of the city centre, demonstrating the council’s commitment to repairing worn road surfaces. “We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of works and ask that motorists are patient while we carry out these essential repairs.” The full
