Crash shuts M18 for more than nine hours and causes…
A crash shut part of an East Yorkshire motorway this afternoon (Wednesday, November 13). Drivers were warned of delays. Emergency services spent several hours dealing with the accident on the M62 junction with the M18. The closures were put in place shortly before 2pm. The M62 was reopened and fully cleared of traffic by 6pm. The M18 remained closed into the night as recovery works were carried out. Humberside Police said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance on the M62 Junction 35, near to the slip road with the M18, following a road traffic collision today (Wednesday, November 13). “A road closure is in place both eastbound and westbound, and motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.” This was live coverage. Emergency services are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene to assist with traffic management. Diversion routes Traffic is being diverted via local roads if heading southbound.
