Up to eight East Yorkshire bus drivers are being told to isolate every day as Covid rates flare up once again. There is significant disruption to services across Hull as more and more drivers are “pinged” by the NHS Test and Trace App and forced to immediately stop working. Area director of East Yorkshire buses Ben Gilligan issued an apology to customers as he appealed for those affected to “#bekind”. In a statement, Mr Gilligan said: “Similar to other transport and hospitality companies across the country, we are finding that a number of our colleagues are receiving notifications from track and trace asking them to self isolate. “This seems to have increased markedly over the past week, with up to 8 drivers a day being 'pinged', meaning they must immediately stop driving and return home, a
