Delay to works at M62 bridge that are needed due…
Planned works have been postponed on an M62 road bridge due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. The bridge, over Bridge Lane in Rawcliffe, was due to undergo work this evening, which would have seen Bridge Lane be closed overnight for two weeks. National Highways has stated that the work was necessary due to 'a number of pigeons' roosting beneath the bridge and causing a 'significant level of waste' on the footpath below. A team will be installing mesh panels on the underside of the bridge to reduce the number of birds. However, this work has now been pushed back until mid-September. Read more:Delays expecte
