The Humber Bridge tag lane will be closed overnight this week, as work is underway on Ferriby Road Bridge. From Monday to Sunday, December 10, the northbound tag lane will be closed daily from 7pm until 6am. This will allow the expansion joints in the carriageway to be replaced as part of essential maintenance. The overnight closure on Monday saw heavy traffic on the Humber Bridge on Tuesday morning. Delays of up to 15 minutes were reported by commuters and traffic queues were at a standstill on the bridge.
