Wincolmlee has reopened following extensive repairs to gas pipes – to the delight and relief of drivers. The busy road, which links Clough Road and the city centre, closed earlier this month for “complex repairs”. It reopened on Monday night, a few hours earlier than expected. But there was confusion for motorists this morning amid rumours of a further closure for a burst water main. Thankfully, traffic has been flowing this morning, with the road clear of problems.
