‘Disruptive’ Victoria Dock roadworks scheme completed almost two weeks early
Roadworks on a major road into the Victoria Dock area in Hull have been completed almost two weeks early. The resurfacing work to the “failed carriageway” on Plimsoll Way began on Monday, September 2 with road closures and temporary traffic lights that were expected to be in place until Wednesday, September 25. However, the road was reopened today (Friday, September 13) – almost a fortnight earlier than planned, following the completion of the final resurfacing works and road marking installations. Hull City Council says the three-stage operation was necessary to reconstruct and resurface parts of the existing carriageway, from The Haven junction to South Bridge Road, including the roundabout.
