A lorry driver died after his vehicle burst into flames on the M18 motorway. A member of the public alerted emergency services to the M18 between junctions 2 and 3 near Doncaster at around 5.10pm on Monday, August 15. Police said they reported that a lorry had collided with the central reservation. South Yorkshire Police said the lorry caught fire and the driver, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, died at the scene. His family has been informed and is being supported by roads policing officers.
