East Hull dad’s appeal after family injured in A63 ‘hit and run’

An east Hull dad whose family were injured in a “hit and run” on Clive Sullivan Way at the weekend is appealing for anyone who may have caught it on camera to get in touch. Bartlomiej Szafnicki, 38, claims he was driving home from Hessle Road on Saturday with his wife and two children when a motorist crashed into their car “with full impact”. He says after initially speaking to the driver, the motorist asked him to pull over, but says when he did, the driver had then gone. Posting in the Hull Crime Watch Facebook Group, he asked anyone who was a witness of the “car accident” on Clive Sullivan Way, near Arco in Hull, on Saturday, April 3, at around 5.15pm to contact him. “Any dashboard camera footage welcome,” he said. “Hit and run accident, dark grey Honda Accord smashed, four people injured, driver drove away.” To sign up for breaking news from Hull Live to your inbox, click here.
