East Yorkshire buses announce temporary timetable changes

Temporary timetable changes have been announced by East Yorkshire buses as an open letter was sent to customers yesterday (February 14). In the letter, Commercial and Operations Director Stuart Fillingham says that the company has faced a 'combination of challenges' in recent weeks. This has included a shortage of spare parts, temporary staffing pressues and other external factors. He goes on to say: “I’ve also identified better ways of working to enable us to deliver a more substantial, more resilient operation in the future.” As a result, Mr Fillingham says he is 'bringing in experienced professionals from the transport industry to support this turnaround.' In order for the company to 'provide more predictable services' while they undergo the period of improvement, a number of temporary adjustments to some timetables have been announced. The changes come into place from Sunday, February 23, and are as follows: Service 44 (Beverley Road Lines): Most trips on this service will be temporarily withdrawn, except for a few evening journeys. Service 45 will continue to operate, providing travel between Hull and the University. Additional services 43, X46, and X47 will offer up to 4 buses per hour, which, combined with Service 45, will provide up to 6 buses per hour, covering much of the route previously served by Service 44. Service 51 (Anlaby Road Lines): On Saturdays, the service will run at a revised frequency of up to every 30 minutes during the day. Services 56/57 (Saturday): On Saturdays, the service will run at a revised frequency. Services will now run every 15 minutes between Bilton and Hull. The 56 section (Hull to Castle Hill Hospital) will operate every 30 minutes. The 57 section (Hull to Hessle) will also run every 30 minutes. S
