A woman was shocked to see a face at the window of her house after hearing someone trying to open the door. Police launched an appeal today after the incident in the Willerby Road area of Hull. It came as a number of readers of Hull Live described similar incidents in recent days. “My wife came through, said she heard someone trying our front door like trying to put a key in,” one reader, of Westlands Road, said. “We heard our car door being pulled and then she looked to our window and saw a male’s face and then screamed and said she saw a light. Just be careful our house was all lit up as well.” Humberside Police said they were called to reported of car doors being tried in the Manor Road area on Tuesday evening. In a statement, police said: “Officers were called at around 8.10pm yesterday evening (Tuesday) to reports that a man had been seen trying car door handles in the Manor Road area of Willerby Road,
