Finish date for M62 Ouse Bridge repairs pushed back again

Works to repair the damaged M62 Ouse Bridge are now not expected to be complete until 2024. The eastbound carriageway has been partially closed after National Highways identified a damaged joint in March 2022. The agency later said all eight joints across both carriageways needed to be replaced, with repairs expected to be completed this autumn, BBC News Humberside reports. Now, it has said the repairs are due to be completed early next year. National Highways explained the reason for the delay.
