Five weeks of roadworks are about to hit a busy Hull road as the city council builds a new pedestrian crossing. Work starts on Monday, September 6 at Southcoates Lane and the junction of Holderness Road. Temporary traffic lights will be in place for the duration of the works. Hull City Council says it is making a “targeted intervention” at the junction as there is currently no safe crossing route for pedestrians and it will help “vulnerable road users and improve overall road safety.” The work is part of an ongoing programme to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists across key Hull roads.
