A driver fled the scene of a two-car crash on the A63 which left a person in hospital. Police and the fire service were called to a road traffic collision on Wednesday, December 23 at 10.45pm on Roger Millward Way at the Victoria Dock Roundabout. One person who suffered minor injuries, was trapped in a badly damaged Renault Laguna which had taken the full impact of a collision with a Vauxhall Astra. The road was shut off until 4am on Christmas Eve and westbound traffic was diverted around and back onto the A63 on Castle Street. A spokeswoman for the force said: “At 10.45pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 23) we attended to a road traffic collision on the A63 Roger Milward Way. “Two cars had been involved in the collision, a silver Vauxhall Astra and a black Renault Laguna. “The driver of the Laguna suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. “The driver of Astra fled the scene and may be injured.
