Football fan’s desperate bid to save cat left to die in Hull road

A Hull man driving home after enjoying the England Euros game tragically witnessed a cat take its final breath after being hit by a car. Ricky Beadle was driving along Preston Road during the early hours of Wednesday morning when he noticed a cat laying in the middle of the road, covered in blood. The former Lush sales assistant was suspicious when the car in front of his vehicle slammed on its breaks unexpectedly, before continuing to drive on. Wanting to check everything was okay, the Co-Operative Funeralcare worker found the cat had actually been hit by the vehicle in front and left to die. Despite trying to help the trampled cat, it passed away on Preston Road minutes after being hit by the car. Football fan Ricky recalled the cat was wearing a pink collar with no tag or age. He said: “It wasn't old or young. If the cat had a tag I would have informed the owners privately but seen as though she didn’t I’m hoping the owners hear about this ASAP.
