A fourth person has died in hospital following a crash on the A63 last Monday. Sam Connors died from his injuries, at Hull Royal Infirmary on Saturday. Elloughton mum Alison Clark tragically lost her life in the crash which happened near Melton at 10pm on Monday, November 22. For the latest crime news and headlines, click here. She was driving a Peugeot which collided with a white BMW car. Willy Harty and Lawrence James, who were travelling in the BMW, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Sam, who was also travelling in the BMW, was rescued from the scene and rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary. He died from his injuries on Saturday. Alison Clark, pictured with husband Rob and their daughter Emily, died in a crash on the A63 A Humberside Police spokeswoman said: “Following a collision between two cars on the A63 on November 22, a fourth person has now died from their injuries. “The collision claimed the life of the driver of a Peugeot 3008, Alison Clark from Elloughton, who died at the scene. “Two men, who were occupants of a second vehicle, a BMW 1 series, also died at the scene last Monday night. “On Saturday, November 27, a man who was travelling in the BMW passed away in hospital from his injuries. “We continue to work with the IOPC as they investigate the events prior to the collision and our officers continue to investigate the collision and support the families of those involved.” Witnesses described a police presence in the area near to Melton industrial estate, not far from the site of the collision. Humberside Police later confirmed there was an active police operation in the area shortly before the fatal collision. The force has referred itself to the IOPC following the crash and confirmed it had been involved in an incident with one of the two vehicles beforehand. In a statement, a spokeswoman for the force said: “Our Professional Standards department carry out a review of any incident where there has been multiple fatalities or serious injury, to ascertain whether our actions may have contributed directly or indirectly to the circumstances of the death or serious injury. “In the case of the A63 fatalities on November 22, 2021, one of the vehicles was involved in an incident with a police vehicle prior to the crash and as such, we have referred the case to the IOPC. “Our thoughts are with the families of those who have passed away, and we have specially trained officers in place to ensure that they receive the support they need throughout the investigative process.” Rob Clark paid tribute to his wife Alison following her tragic death and said both he and their nine-year-old daughter Emily are devastate
