The five-day cultural extravaganza that is the Freedom Festival is once again drawing near. Everything from circus acts to the Hull International Carnival will light up the city for the annual celebration, beginning on Wednesday, August 28. Acts come from far and wide to perform in the city centre, with literally hundreds of performances scheduled thought the 2019 event. Thousands of people are once again expected to turn out to check out some of the impressive shows, some of which will weave their way through the city’s streets. However, with a striking street performance comes road closures meaning delays for people heading to the festival and travelling through the area at the time.
