Works are continuing on Boothferry Bridge with the aim of traffic lights being taken away by next month, East Riding Council has said. A spokesperson for the council said scheduled improvement works are continuing at the bridge on the A614, which spans the River Ouse. They said: “The council and our contractors are working extremely hard to be able to remove traffic lights on the bridge by mid-July in a bid to ease traffic congestion. “Even after that time, work to improve the bridge will need to continue.” It comes as major refurbishment works began on Boothferry Bridge in November and were originally scheduled to finish by the end of August.
