Hawks have been enlisted to patrol the skies over three Northern stations as part of a 12 week trial that began in February. The Harris Hawks are deterring pigeons at Filey, Beverley, and Driffield stations, in a bid to prevent them from nesting. They are not used for hunting, Northern have said. If the trial proves successful, Northern are considering introducing them at other stations that have been 'plagued by pigeons'.
