A yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Hull and East Yorkshire by the Met Office for this Saturday. Long periods of rain are expected throughout the day, but the worst of the weather is expected between 2pm and 6pm when showers will become heavier. On Saturday, the rain will move slowly from the west of the country, making its way to the east. Before the weather front arrives in East Yorkshire, Hull and other eastern parts of the country will experience some sunny conditions and warmer temperatures. Temperatures could reach highs of around 20 degrees and even into the mid 20s earlier on in the day. As a result of the rain later in the day, it could begin to feel quite cool and humid. The heavy rain forecast could cause some traffic disruption and flooding in some areas.
