Heavy traffic as police close Hull road after two-car crash

Police have closed a Hull road in both directions while emergency services respond to a two-car crash. Humberside Police have confirmed Argyle Street, between Londesborough Street junction and Anlaby Road junction after a crash. In a tweet a spokesperson said: “Argyle street, between Londesborough Street junction and Anlaby Road junction in Hull is currently closed in both directions to allow emergency services to respond to a collision involving two cars. “Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible.” According to traffic management system, Inrix, traffic is queuing around the area with a build-up reported around Hull Royal Infirmary. It is not yet known if there are any injuries, or the reason behind the crash. Updates on this incident will appear below as we get them.18:44
