Hedon Road lorry crash brings traffic to a standstill

Traffic is at a standstill on Hedon Road following reports of a crash involving a car and a lorry. Motorists are reporting the accident happened at around 4.30pm on Somerden Road at the Queen Elizabeth Dock roundabout. The accident has caused traffic to backup on the eastbound carriageway just as rush hour approaches. One driver said: “Accident between car and truck on Queen Elizabeth dock roundabout heading eastbound one lane blocked on roundabout. Police are in attendance.” Ambulance crews and fire engines are also said to be at the scene. It is not clear at this stage whether anyone has been hurt or what road closures are in place.
