Huge diversion as weeks of roadworks set to close Sculcoates Lane

Drivers are set to have to face almost three weeks of diversions after plans were announced to close part of a busy Hull road for resurfacing. Sculcoates Lane will be inaccessible to pedestrians and drivers from August 12 between Beverley Road and St Leonards Road during carriageway reconstruction works. Hull City Council has obtained an order to close that specific part of the road with work set to continue until August 30. The email says: “Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order. “The effect of the order is to prohibit any person with (or without) a vehicle from proceeding along Sculcoates Lane between Beverley Road and St Leonards Road.
