A Hull bus driver has been praised for coming to the rescue of a young girl. The girl had got off the bus in Hedon Road after her journey, however the driver – named as Mark – was concerned when he realised she was waiting for her mum to pick her up on her own in the dark. The East Yorkshire Bus driver stopped his bus for 30 minutes to ensure the young girl was not left abandoned in the dark on Thursday night. In a post on the Hull Traffic and Travel Page, one reader said: “A big shout out to the No.75 bus driver that pulled up for 30 mins while we waited for a young girls mum to collect her at the bus stop. “Impressed that he just would not leave her on Hedon Road, there are still some decent people out there. I hope someone that knows the driver sees this. The girl was travelling alone and the driver made sure that she was picked up safely despite the wait “It was dark and she was soo young, it was just an unfortunate situation from what I can gather but she was safe and that's thanks to the driver that wasn't moving until he made sure it was her mum picking her up too, not just any car pulling up.” One comment on the post said: “Hats off to the driver, for keeping the girl safe and to the other passengers for being so understanding.
