2019-10-13 12:12:00
Traffic has been brought to a standstill around Hull city centre because of roadworks. Reports are coming in of “gridlock” around Ferensway and Clive Sullivan Way, as a main road has been closed for roadworks. Myton Bridge is currently closed until 4pm, as well as roadworks on the A63. One person has said: “Been over half an hour now to do less than half a mile A63 into Hull – not even got to the new lights.” Another driver commented: “Clive Sullivan Way is gridlocked westbound”, and another person has said the traffic around Hull city centre is “madness”. Travel management site Inrix currently shows queuing traffic eastbound on the A63 at Clive Sullivan Way, and standstill traffic westbound on Roger Millward Way. There are also reports of very slow traffic on Holderness Road, Hessle Road, Anlaby Road and Great Union Street.
