A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after her car flipped onto its roof in a shocking crash. Emergency services were called to Askew Avenue just after 8pm when a car flew across the central reservation before flipping onto its roof. One witness said she saw the car “flip at least once” before it was left “smashed up” at the junction of Askew Avenue and Hessle Road. Witnesses were left “stunned and shock” by the incident but one “heroic gent” sprang into action to pull the woman from the wreckage as others helped with first aid. Humberside Police confirmed that the woman was taken to hospital for serious injuries.
