Hull man arrested after horrific double fatal crash on motorway

A Hull man has been arrested following a double fatal crash. Two drivers died following the horrific collision on the M1 northbound carriageway on Friday. Emergency services were called to J34, just north of the Tinsley Viaduct at 8.15am, after reports of a three-vehicle crash involving a lorry, a van and a car. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Two men involved in the collision suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The families of both men have been notified. “A 39-year-old man from Hull was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody. “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially any motorists travelling along the M1 who may hold dashcam footage.” Anyone with information about the crash should call 101 and
