Hull street closed suddenly as Yorkshire Water carries out emergency…

A Hull street has been closed suddenly with Yorkshire Water forced to carry out emergency works. Air Street, off Beverley Road, was shut suddenly on Friday and is likely to remain closed for a week while the works are carried out. The street will remain open to pedestrians and emergency access will be maintained. Hull City Council tweeted: “Emergency Road Closure. Air Street is currently closed due to emergency works from Yorkshire Water. Read more: Busy road near Hull Royal Infirmary closed for up to a week due to damaged water main “The road is closed to vehicles only and emergency access will be maintained at all times. The closure is expected to last a week.” The news comes after Derringham Street, off Spring Bank, also had to close suddenly so Yorkshire Water could carry out emergency works. The issue caused traffic issues as the northbound section of Derringham Street between Londesborough Street and Spring Bank was closed for several days. There
